Our Philosophy

Our philosophy entails addressing the ultimate cause of injury and pain and preventing it from recurring.  Our practice focuses on the following:

- Decreasing pain and increasing function through manipulation and physiotherapy

- Strengthening the musculoskeletal system and improving posture to prevent future exacerbations

- Instructing patients on lifestyle modifications and home stretches and exercises

We strive for rapid, measurable results, and our patients usually see a reduction in their symptoms quickly, sometimes as early as one or two visits.  If your symptoms are resistant to our treatments, we have a network of neurologists, orthopedists, and other specialists that we refer to for co-management.

Once your primary complaint is resolved, we offer periodic wellness sessions to maximize performance and keep your body in a peak state of health.  As always, wellness sessions are encouraged but never a requirement.

Addressing the Root of the Problem

The overuse of pain medication to treat injury is becoming a major problem in the medical community.  While medication is helpful and sometimes vital for acute or severe cases, its use does little to correct the source of the problem.   Those who are using only medication to ease their symptoms commonly have their condition reoccur over and over again.   Most chronic pain stems from postural and muscular imbalances from overuse or repetitive motions of the body.  If left unchecked, this can lead to the body being overloaded and injured.  Premature arthritis, herniated discs, and chronic strain/sprain injuries can all be linked to postural and muscular imbalance.
